These zeera biscuits is a combination of sweet,salty & Cumin seeds & these are ideal for tea time.Loved to eat them all the time😄 very lite,melt in mouth,so yum😋!!!!!
Ingredients :
All purpose flour(maida)1 & 1/4 cup
Butter 130 grams that's 1/2 cup & 1 tbsp
(You can use vegetable shortening or clarified butter / ghee instead of butter)
Sugar 5 tbsp
Egg 1
Baking powder 1/2 tsp
Salt 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Method :
Preheat oven at 180ºC.
Sieve flour & add in baking powder, salt & cumin seeds and mix well with a spoon....set aside.
Beat butter and sugar with an electric beater until creamy.
Add egg and beat well.
Add flour in egg and butter mixture beat with beater on low speed,it will become crumbly.
Now mix it with your hand,smooth dough will become ready.
Put it in refrigerator for 10 to 15 minutes.
Roll the dough in a grease proof paper, cut with cookie cutter and bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until done.
